Argentine Tango is a beautiful dance whose roots are over 150 years old. Tango is about passion, feeling, allowing and leading, and moments. Originally from Argentina, and influenced by European folk dancing, tango has changed and evolved to include many different ways and styles. From traditional to Nuevo, or from open to closed position, tango has an exhaustive movement vocabulary to choose from. On a physical level however, one thing is for certain: tango is all about LEGS.
The classes are based on a 6-Week Progressive Series and in this series, we’ll walk you through the Argentine Tango technique and combinations, get you dancing comfortably AND help you have more fun doing it. You’ll work with same group of dancers for 6 weeks, and each week will start with reviewing the previous weeks’ lesson, then adding to that lesson to create a long progression of Tango moves. No partner required to attend class.
